The Beat Goes On p.8: The Morty Interrogation: Goes Down Easier Done Than Said

The pressure cooker is heating up as Dectective Trousers brings his friend Morty the Mortician in for a talk. The title is either a metaphor for taking medicine in pill form or something more intellegent about the late Edward Said. If anyone out there can make a connection, let me know.

I particularly enjoy the dynamic between Detective Trousers and the mortician. The persuasion scene is very reminiscent of Edward Said's thoughts on colonialism and the European appropriation of 'the other' in this case being the mortician. As demonstrated, Trouser cannot accept the mortician at face value. He continues to question him until he can creative a revised truth.
