Part 3 is called "Rattle." It represents both the death rattle of Captain Froggyface Padlilly and the proverbial rattling of the cages in the overall story arc of The Beat Goes On.
very astute observation about Detective Trousers and the direction of his investigation into the Bradly murder. As the beat goes on so will the heart of the underbelly pump blood onto the floor of the police headquarters.
His pants are in fact green! Green corduroy to imply that although he was once green and naive, he now has quite a few winters under his belt and is more rugged than he lets on.
His shirt is more of a pale banana, or sunbleached post-it yellow.

I feel like Detective Trousers is starting down a path. . . a very dangerous path.
Also, I'm picturing his clothes as green, is that totally out of line?
